Modeling Residential Electricity Consumption from Public Demographic Data for Sustainable Cities

چکیده
Demographic factors, statistical information, and technological innovation are prominent factors shaping energy transitions in the residential sector. Explaining these requires combining insights from disciplines investigating factors. The existing literature is not consistent identifying nor proposing how they can be combined. In this paper, three contributions made by key demographic of households to estimate household consumption. Firstly, a mathematical formula developed considering determinants that influence consumption, such as number persons per household, median age, occupancy rate, with children, bedrooms household. Secondly, geographical position algorithm proposed identify locations households. Thirdly, derived validated collecting five regions local government databases, then compared electricity consumption benchmarks provided regulators. practical feasibility method demonstrated comparing estimated values comparison results indicate error between benchmark for different less than 8% (7.37%), proving efficacy estimation processes.

Electricity Prices, Income and Residential Electricity Consumption
In recent years, aiming to reduce the Greenhouse Gas pollution and promote energy efficiency and conservation among consumers’ energy use, price policies and price changes derived from environmental regulations have played a more important role. In this paper, using the most recent annual state-level panel data for 48 states, I estimate a dynamic partial adjustment model for electricity demand ...

As the Malaysian residential electricity consumption continued to increase rapidly, effective energy policies, which address factors affecting residential electricity consumption, is urgently needed. This study attempts to investigate the relationship between residential electricity consumption (EC), real disposable income (Y), price of electricity (Pe) and population (Po) in Malaysia for 1978-...

متن کاملEnergy Consumption Modeling in Residential Buildings
In recent years, the issue of energy consumption modeling techniques in the building sector has been widely considered by researchers and managers. Researches indicate that energy consumption in residential sector is one of the main parts of the total consumption. Moreover, the urban residence is supposed as a significant consumer of energy in every country and therefore a focus for energy cons...
متن کاملModeling & Forecasting US Electricity Consumption
Forecasting electricity consumption has often prefered to treat socioeconomic activity and wealth as exogenous. The motivation for this research is to endogenize electricity consumption with economic activity by introducing electricity demand, and the interactions between electricity use and economic activity, into macroeconomic demand equations. In this paper, I create an energy and macroecono...
